Teaching About Jesus
EBBC's program for infants to age 4 is committed to helping children establish and build a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Nursery/Preschool is not a "baby sitting" service, but a safe and fun environment where children experience God's love for them through relevant Bible teaching, music, and age-appropriate activities. This helps children take next steps in their spiritual journeys and to live God-centered lives. We use curriculum from Gospel Light, which includes a variety of activities to teach infants-preschoolers that Jesus loves them. We strongly encourage teachers to pray over these precious babies.
Our ministry is focused not only on the children, we also provide parents support through one-on-one communication when they drop off and pick up their children and with a monthly newsletter and other handouts that contain helpful advice on how to continue teaching their little ones about Christ in their homes.
All volunteers and leaders are carefully screened, and a stringent check-in/check-out system is enforced. To assure parents of our security protocols, the rooms are equipped with a pager system that prevents anyone other than the proper person from retrieving a child.
Snacks are provided during Sunday School and Church that are gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free. Parents may bring in snacks for their own children, but these should not be shared with the other children.
We need volunteer teachers for the following times in Nursery/Preschool:
- Sunday school 9-10:30am--Must arrive at 8:45am to set up
- Church 10:30-Noon--Must arrive no later than 10:20am
Teachers should be physically fit, be able to sit on the floor (and get back up again!), and able to lift 25 pounds.
